American Systems taps new CFO

Peter Whitfield has been named the new CFO of American Systems, replacing Mark Danisewicz, who is retiring.

Peter Whitfield will become the new chief financial officer at American Systems later this month, replacing long-time CFO Mark Danisewicz who is retiring.

Whitfield takes over the post on June 24. Danisewicz retires effective July 10.

Danisewicz has been American Systems CFO since 1997 and led the transition of the company from its founders to an employee stock ownership plan company.

Whitfield joins American Systems from Shared Spectrum where he also served as CFO. He’s also held executive positions with Unicom Government, Morgan Franklin, Broadwing and MCI.

He has a business administration degree from Pace University.
