WR Systems to support Navy radar system under $12.4M contract

WR Systems has won a $12.4 million contract to support the Navy’s Relocatable Over-the-Horizon Radar system.

The system was originally designed to provide tactical warning to battle group commanders of air and surface threats at an extended range, according to its website.

Under the contract, WR Systems will provide engineering and program support services.

Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 2018.

WR Systems was the only bidder on this contract, the Defense Department said.
