BAE Systems has reached an agreement to acquire Signal Innovations Group, an In-Q-Tel-backed provider of imaging technologies and analytics.
Founded in 2004, Signal Innovations Group provides full motion video, persistent wide area motion imagery and multi-intelligence analytics software products and services that enable processing, fusion, exploitation and analysis of multi-source data across U.S. intelligence and defense markets, according to the Chertoff Group, who advised Signal Innovations Group on the deal.
“Combining SIG’s technologies with our existing intelligence tools and analysis capabilities will enhance our customers’ ability to analyze tactical and strategic intelligence from around the globe,” said DeEtte Gray, president of BAE Systems Intelligence and Security.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of fiscal 2014. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
