HP Enterprise Services has won a $221 million contract to serve as Medicaid fiscal agent for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
As fiscal agent, HP Enterprise Services will help the state continue to meet federal Medicaid requirements and prepare for future health care transformation developments while reducing costs, improving services and maintaining program stability for healthcare providers and beneficiaries, the company said in a release.
The contract will have HP managing a local call center, financial and federal reporting, and support for the state’s drug rebate and estate recovery programs.
This contract continues the company’s 36-year relationship with Wisconsin. The company had previously developed and implemented the state’s interchange Medicaid Management Information System, HP said.
