INADEV taps new chief strategy officer

INADEV has named Scott Armstrong chief strategy officer where he will lead the company’s mobile product strategy, partnerships, marketing, acquisitions and new business operations.

INADEV has named Scott Armstrong chief strategy officer, where he will oversee the company’s mobile product strategy.

Armstrong will also lead the company’s strategic partnerships, marketing, acquisitions and new business operations.

INADEV’s mobile strategy includes funding, pricing and marketing related to two apps that the company offers: Taposé, a split screen journal and content creation app for the iOS operating system, and Mobile Edge, a proprietary app development system, the company said in a release.

Armstrong joins INADEV from being a leader of strategic initiatives and programs at Symantec, which he joined after Gideon Technologies was acquired, where he served as vice president of marketing.

He has also held positions at Secure Elements, Mercator Software, Aether Systems and UUNET.

Armstrong holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Cornell University.
