Four smalls win $98.8M contract for battlespace awareness services

Companies will compete for services and support to the Navy

Four small businesses have won a $98.8 million task order contract with the U.S. Navy to provide battlespace awareness services.

Under the contract, the companies will provide battlespace awareness services including the integration and test of systems focused on the delivery of battlespace awareness and intelligence capabilities, the Defense Department said. The cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based contract has provisions for fixed-price-incentive and firm-fixed-price task orders, and has a base of $19.8 million.

The winners are:

  • Global Infotek Inc.
  • Grove Resource Solutions
  • MANDEX Inc.
  • Vickers & Nolan Enterprises

The companies will provide integrated employment of information operations capabilities; the development, integration and test of intelligence, battlespace awareness and information operations applications and hardware, the Defense Department said.

Work will take place around the globe, and is expected to be completed by June 2014, or June 2018 with options.

Funds in the amount of $10,000 were obligated at the time of the award, and is being split between the four awardees. None of the funds will expire at the end of fiscal 2013.
