Pragmatics names former SRA exec as cybersecurity VP

Government contractor Pragmatics has named Dusty Rhoads vice president of cybersecurity and a member of the company’s senior management team.

He will report to Chief Operating Officer Max Hall, according to the company’s June 15 news release.

Rhoads previously spent eight years at SRA International Inc. as vice president of the cybersecurity and privacy division and he was a major contributor to the expansion of the company’s cyber practice capabilities, personnel and revenues.

Rhoads also spent 28 years in the Air Force as a commander, fighter pilot and cyber expert.

As the founder and commander of the first combat unit dedicated to all aspects of information warfare, he led the Defense Department’s efforts against early cyber attacks and conceived and made operational the Joint Task Force – Computer Network Defense, now the U.S. Cyber Command.

Pragmatics, of Reston, Va., ranks No. 88 on Washington Technology’s 2012 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
