Dell Federal hires new contracting director

Kathleen Hines comes over from BAE Systems

Kathleen Hines has joined Dell Services Federal Government Division as director of contracts and is responsible for leading all of Dell’s contract and procurement operations for its federal customers.

Hines brings more than 24 years of federal contracting expertise, most recently as vice president of contracts at BAE Systems. She has also served as director of contracts at Northrop Grumman IT.

Hines earned a bachelor's degree in labor and industrial relations from Michigan State University, a certificate in contract management from San Diego State University, and a master’s degree in business administration from George Mason University.

She is a member of the board of directors of the National Contract Management Association.

Dell Computer Corp., of Round Rock, Texas, ranks No. 11 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
