ManTech International Corp. has established ManTech Cyber Solutions International Inc.
The wholly owned subsidiary will use research and development methods to build new tools and develop tactics that meet customer needs in the cyber field. It will also develop and market new cyber products and solutions to local, state and federal government customers, and enterprise commercial markets.
Alex Nieves, senior vice president of ManTech Security and Mission Assurance’s cyber sector, has been named president of ManTech CSI.
Tiffanny Gates has been named vice president. She was chief executive officer of Emerging Technologies Group, a woman-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned small business in Herndon, Va., that provided network security and computer forensics expertise to government agencies. ManTech acquired ETG in August 2008.
“There is a large demand for cyber solutions in the marketplace, and defending against cyber threats is critical to our national interest,” said Larry Prior, president and chief operating officer of ManTech International, in a statement announcing the new company.
“Providing cyber services continues to be a core capability for parent company ManTech, where we are centered on delivering services and training across the spectrum of computer network operations,” Prior added.
ManTech International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
