Leslie Barry joins GTSI

Leslie Barry has become GTSI Corp.'s vice president of government affairs and business development, a new position at the Chantilly, Va., company.

Leslie Barry has become GTSI Corp.'s vice president of government affairs and business development, a new position at the Chantilly, Va., company.

Barry most recently was director of business development at CA Inc. She also has held similar positions at Computer Sciences Corp., Federal Data Corp. and other companies.

In the new position at GTSI, she will be in charge of building a business development organization and will use her connections in the IT community to mentor GTSI's sales force. She will report to Todd Leto, GTSI's vice president of sales.

"Her knowledge of the industry and ability to mentor people will be an important asset as we continue to retool GTSI into a solutions and services company," Leto said in a statement.

Barry is a familiar figure at many government IT industry events. In 2003, she won the Outstanding Individual Industry Contributor of the Year award from the Industry Advisory Council and the 2003 Outstanding Support and Contribution award from the Government Information Technology Executive Council.

She is serving her second term on the IAC board of directors as vice chairwoman of professional development. She also is co-treasurer for the Association for Federal Information Resources Management.
