GSA reviewing acquisition rules, needs feedback

The General Services Administration officially launched a comprehensive review of its acquisition policies, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation, in an effort to revamp and clarify the agency's purchasing procedures.
In an advanced notice of proposed rulemaking, GSA said it is seeking comments from government and the private sector on whether certain sections of the FAR and the GSA Acquisition Regulation should be streamlined and simplified.
Specifically, GSA wants comments on:
- Whether the FAR and GSAR need to be more consistent
- Whether there are duplications between the two
- Are parts of the GSAR irrelevant because of changes in technology or business practices and
- Do aspects of both the FAR and GSAR impose unnecessary adverse economic impacts on small entities.
