L.A. County extends Unisys eligibility work

Unisys Corp. has won a two-year, $39.7 million contract extension from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services to continue supporting its eligibility system, the company announced today.
Under the contract, Unisys will continue providing application modification and technology infrastructure services for the Los Angeles Eligibility, Automated Determination, Evaluation and Reporting system.
The system provides users with an online, real-time method for determining eligibility and benefit amounts for department assistance programs, including the state's public assistance, Medicaid, food stamp and general relief programs.
