L.A. County re-ups CGI-AMS for ERP work

CGI-AMS has won a five-year, $33 million contract renewal from Los Angeles County to continue providing enterprise resource planning software and services, the company announced today.

Under the contract, CGI-AMS of Fairfax, Va., will upgrade the county to its Advantage 3 financial management software and help the county examine its requirements in the human resources arena to include administration, time and attendance, benefit administration, payroll, recruitment and employee self-service.

AMS Advantage Financial Management will provide county officials with Web-based and real-time access to reliable financial information, according to the company. Such information will enable more timely decisions on funding for programs across the full range of services offered to county residents.

AMS Advantage is a module-based solution that is designed to automate workflow, decrease paperwork, improve customer service and facilitate decision-making.

CGI-AMS is a unit of CGI Group Inc. of Montreal. The company has 25,000 employees and annual sales of $3 billion. CGI-AMS is ranked No. 62 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of the largest government IT contractors.
