David M. Johnson has joined Maximus Inc. as chief operating officer, the company announced Nov. 14.
Johnson, a former partner and managing director with Deloitte Consulting, brings more than 23 years of government consulting experience to his new job.
Before joining Maximus of Reston, Va., Johnson was responsible for the government practice at Deloitte Consulting of New York. His other posts at Deloitte included serving as the managing director for two of the larger offices in North America for Deloitte in Pittsburgh and Toronto.

Over the next six months, Johnson will review many of the company's lines of business to identify opportunities for revenue growth and profitability improvement, Mastran said.
Johnson also will focus in the near term on the marketplace, serving clients and helping drive company results, he said.
