Mainframes on demand

Blue Bell, Pa.-based Unisys
Corp. has introduced the latest offering in its ClearPath line of mainframe servers. The
Libra Model 180 features dynamic distribution of processing power. With the ability to run
multiple operating systems simultaneously, it can transparently hand off processing tasks,
depending on which application needs additional capacity at any given time. The server,
starting at $954,000, can include up to 40 processors.
