BEA, webMethods To Connect Products

BEA Systems Inc. and webMethods Inc. have agreed to build a connector between their integration products.

The development will make it easier for customers that have hybrid environments from the companies to develop new Java applications and integrate them into existing enterprise and legacy applications.

The companies will build a connector between BEA WebLogic Integration and the webMethods integration platform. BEA of San Jose, Calif., and webMethods of Fairfax, Va., develop software platforms for e-commerce and e-government applications.

Integrating BEA's technology with webMethods will give customers the ability to merge old and new technologies, said Paul Hammond, vice president of business development for the BEA E-Commerce Integration Division.
