CSC gets IT extension

Computer Sciences Corp. has won a four-year, $157 million extension to continue providing a variety of IT services to the Australian Federal Government, the company announced Aug. 28.

The extension begins July 1, 2003, when the original five-year contract expires. Under the Cluster 3 contract, CSC will provide a variety of IT services to the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs, the Australian Electoral Commission and IP Australia.

IP Australia, or Intellectual Property Australia, is a government agency that protects patents, trademarks, designs and other forms of intellectual property.
