SCT, Netgov.com Announce E-Gov Partnership

By Gail Repsher, Staff Writer

JULY 17 ? SCT Corp. and Netgov.com Inc. will work together to provide integrated e-government solutions, they announced July 17 at the National Association of Counties conference in Charlotte, N.C.

SCT, a global information technology solutions company in Malvern, Pa., and Netgov.com Inc., a Chicago company that provides Internet solutions to state and local governments, plan to move government functions online through a combination of services and hosted applications that would simplify access to information, facilitate transactions with constituents and strengthen constituent relationships.

"This alliance would bring together SCT and Netgov.com's government expertise, which is critical for successful e-government initiatives," said Mike Daniels, president of SCT Global Government Solutions. "By offering a seamlessly integrated solution, we can move the business of government online quickly and with minimal cost and risk."

SCT will provide services that help governments develop a roadmap outlining the technical, infrastructure and resource requirements necessary to implement e-government.

Netgov.com will provide a searchable resource center and events calendar, and allow constituents to report problems, pay parking tickets and renew business and professional licenses online.

Netgov.com was formed in June by the merger of eGov Solutions LLC of Indianapolis and the Asset Exchange Inc., a Chicago-based government marketplace for the disposition of tax liens, deeds and real estate.

"SCT brings a proven track record of providing software and services to complex municipalities which integrates well with our solutions," said Stephen Goldsmith, executive chairman of Netgov.com.
