New York puts contract Opportunities On-Line

P> New York's Office of General Services wants to make the purchasing process faster and easier. State agencies, political subdivisions and others who can purchase from state contracts, as well as vendors, now can search for information about statewide contracts on the Web or via gopher.

The system, which is updated weekly, lists current statewide contracts, expired contracts and new bid opportunities. Agency-specific contracts generally are not available.

In the near future, a new user interface will be available to help visitors better navigate the site.
