Amazon's rare protest dismissed after typo revealed

GAO has dismissed a protest by Amazon Web Services after learning that a typo in an Army sources sought notice made it seem a solicitation specifying Google products had been released.
A rare protest by Amazon of what I mistakenly thought was an award to Google has been dismissed.
Apparently, the Army was conducting market research about using Google’s GSuite at West Point. But a typo in the notice under the ACCENT basic ordering agreement made it look like a solicitation, a source told me.
GAO dismissed the protest on Thursday, according to its protest docket.
AWS objected because the solicitation specified the use of GSuite and AWS thought it was wrong to exclude others from the competition. I mistakenly thought that an award had already been made.
The Army apparently looked at what the cost and other factors of using GSuite but has not made a decision on whether or not it will move forward with a contract.
