Stanley brings logistics aid to Central Command in Kuwait

Stanley Inc. will provide logistics and personnel support to the Army Central Command in Kuwait under a five-year, $30 million contract.

The firm-fixed-price award calls for the Arlington, Va., contractor to provide logistical planning, theater strategy and policy assistance.

Stanley logisticians will provide the Central Command’s chief logistician and his staff with technical and staff expertise to support ammunition operations, supply sustainment activities, maintenance oversight and equipment readiness tracking.

Stanley also will provide logistics automation, transportation planning, personnel support services and strength management, according to an announcement issued today.

The work will take place at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.

In July 2008, Stanley acquired Oberon Associates Inc., an engineering, intelligence operations and information technology services company in Manassas, Va.

Stanley ranks No. 45 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
