L-1 Identity Solutions Inc. will provide identification and enrollment services to agencies of the Indiana government under a four-year, $13 million contract.

Under the contract, L-1 will furnish pre-enrollment checks and fingerprint identification associated with hiring and licensing, company officials said April 1. The company will operate 60 enrollment centers statewide that will enable agencies to more quickly and efficiently process required background checks.

Among the agencies participating are the Indiana Secretary of State, Professional Licensing Agency, Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Department of Child Services.

Applicants can submit to background checks at any of the new enrollment centers operated by L-1. The centers will use L-1 TP 4100 live-scan fingerprint devices, the officials said.

L-1, of Stamford, Conn., is a provider of identity technologies and services.
