Pragmatics Inc. will assume some management and administrative operations for the Homeland Security Department's Science and Technology Directorate under a new $2.4 million task order.

The information technology services contractor will provide day-to-day operations, maintenance and systems administration services for the directorate's LabNet network infrastructure devices at five undisclosed locations.

LabNet is a research and development-focused network that aids the Science and Technology Directorate's research and development mission and gives researchers and scientists greater freedom to work by reducing systems, software and hardware restrictions, said Greg Mundell, vice president of homeland security and law enforcement programs at Pragmatics.

Pragmatics, based in McLean, Va., will team with GTSI Corp. of Chantilly, Va., in fulfilling the task order, which was awarded under the DHS Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions contract.
