CACI to aid logistics at Fort Bliss

CACI International Inc. will provide professional services and technical support for logistics operations at Fort Bliss, Texas, under a new task order from the Army.

CACI International Inc. will provide professional services and technical support for logistics operations at Fort Bliss, Texas, under a new $60 million task order from the Army.

Under terms of the five-year award, CACI will support the Army Installation Command's Directorate of Logistics' maintenance, supply and transportation divisions. The Fort Bliss directorate is a new client for CACI.

CACI's support is designed to help ensure that logistics activities are carried out effectively, on time and within budget, especially as operations at Fort Bliss expand in conjunction with the Army's Base Realignment and Closure program.

In the area of maintenance services, CACI will focus on repairing and upgrading military vehicles, ensuring that readiness rates meet or exceed Army standards.

For the supply function, CACI will manage warehouses and receiving, cataloging, tracking and shipping assets. CACI's transportation support services will include tracking and shipping personal property for soldiers and their families and helping plan and schedule troop movements.

The award, which consists of one base year and four option years, falls under CACI's Field and Installation Readiness Support Team contract vehicle with the Army.
