Gryphon Technologies has won a five-year, $37.5 million contract from the Naval Sea Systems Command to provide engineering and technical services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Port Hueneme Division.

Under the contract, Gryphon of Riverdale, Md., will supply the division's Air Dominance Department with engineering, technical and computer programming services required to support materials and documents used for the Combat Systems Operational Sequencing System.

The system addresses around-the-clock combat system readiness, and focuses on the people, places and procedures that a mission requires.

The company will perform the services at contractor sites in Chesapeake, Va., Camarillo, Calif., and Navy facilities and ports around the globe.

Navsea's Port Hueneme Division in California is responsible for operations of surface combat and weapons systems on Navy ships and ships of allied nations.

Gryphon, which is privately held and has about 300 employees, offers systems engineering, integration and IT services to support national defense.
