CACI wins Navy support system contract

CACI International Inc. has won a five-year, $133 million contract from the Navy to provide information technology support to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (Spawar) Systems Center Norfolk, the company announced today.

Under the contract, CACI of Arlington, Va., will design, develop and integrate the Naval Tactical Command Support System throughout the U.S. fleet.

The Naval Tactical Command Support System is used by all ships and submarines, aviation squadrons and key Navy maintenance organizations. Spawar Systems Center Norfolk designed the system and is responsible for its support.

The system includes software that automates functions ranging from supplies and maintenance to personnel administration, financial and medical records and travel order management. It also includes upgrading Navy systems to better support users, interface with other Department of Defense systems and enhance the nation's overall defense readiness.

CACI, a provider of IT and network solutions for defense, intelligence and e-government, has about 6,900 employees and annual sales of $843 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
