Anteon wins anti-submarine warfare deal

Anteon Corp. has won a $107 million contract from the Navy to provide engineering and technical support for anti-submarine warfare and mine warfare systems.

Anteon Corp. has won a $107 million contract from the Navy to provide engineering and technical support for anti-submarine warfare and mine warfare systems, the company announced today.

Under the contract, Anteon of Fairfax, Va., will provide the Navy Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic with systems modernizations and new system development and support for Atlantic and Pacific fleet ships, foreign military sales and shore facilities.

Joseph Kampf, Anteon's president and chief executive officer, said the contract award represents a significant expansion of the support services that the company has been providing the fleet since 1993.

Anteon is a provider of information technology and engineering solutions to the federal government and international sectors. The company has about 5,800 employees and annual sales of $825 million. The company ranked No. 14 in the Washington Technology's 2003 Top 100 list.
