SAIC to acquire Jullien Enterprises

Science Applications International Corp. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Jullien Enterprises Ltd.

Science Applications International Corp. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Jullien Enterprises Ltd., Jullien announced Sept. 15. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The transaction, which is expected to close in October, will combine the physical security expertise and homeland security of Chantilly, Va.-based Jullien with San Diego-based SAIC's global practice, providing information and technology solutions to government and large enterprise clients.

In specific terms, the acquisition will allow SAIC to expand its ability to provide physical security systems integration services to the government market, said Michael Daniels, vice president and manager of SAIC's Technology Applications Sector.

Following the acquisition, Jullien will become part of SAIC's Telecommunications Technology Group.

Jullien is a provider of security solutions to government and commercial clients. The company engineers, installs and integrates video systems, access control systems, alarm systems, vehicle barriers, perimeter protection systems, satellite-based networks, control centers and fiber optic cable systems. The company also company designs and constructs security control centers.

SAIC has more than 40,000 employees and annual sales of $5.9 billion.
