DRC wins prime spot for $34 Million worth of defense work

Although the company currently supports the program as a subcontractor to Dallas-based Affiliated Computer Services Inc., taking in approximately $1.3 million in annual revenue, the new contract, which begins Aug. 1 and has DRC as prime, has an eight-month base period award of $4.3 million and four one-year options.
JSTARS is a joint development project of the Air Force and Army to develop a long-range airborne surveillance system. JSTARS provides ground information via secure data links with command posts, ground stations and centers of military analysis, according to the program's Web site.
The Air Force's Electronic Systems Center, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Mass., is responsible for JSTARS.
"We are pleased to continue supporting the Electronic Systems Center in this critical program, which is expected to play an important role in the transformation of the United States military forces," said James Regan, DRC chairman and chief executive officer.
