Corbett Technologies Lands Army Info Security Business

The Army Materiel Command awarded Corbett Technologies Inc. a five-year, $40.6 million blanket purchase agreement to provide information security services for the AMC chief information officer, acquisition and technology division, information assurance program.

The Army Materiel Command awarded Corbett Technologies Inc., Alexandria, Va., a five-year, $40.6 million blanket purchase agreement to provide information security services for the AMC chief information officer, acquisition and technology division, information assurance program.

The services include architecture, configuration management, planning, technology insertion and technical support.

Corbett received an initial task order under the BPA valued at $1.39 million to analyze, evaluate, coordinate, plan and implement strategies, policies and tracking for the information assurance program.

As part of the program, Corbett also will provide recommendations on information assurance program goals, initiatives, organizational responsibilities, program synchronization and strategic planning.

The AMC has eight major subordinate commands that direct the activities of numerous depots, arsenals, ammunition plants, laboratories and procurement operations. It has 58,000 military and civilian employees in 285 locations worldwide, covering 40 states and 24 countries.

"This contract demonstrates AMC's commitment to establishing a secure-rich environment in which AMC headquarters, [major subordinate commands] and separate reporting activities can process, access and exchange information while traversing both government and public networks," said Barry Stauffer, Corbett's president and chief executive.
