JUNE 26 ? InsiderAdvantage.com, a national Internet-based source of government-related information and consulting services, June 26 purchased GovernmentBids.com, a business-to-government procurement listing service.

Under terms of the agreement, GovernmentBids.com will act as a separate division of Atlanta-based InsiderAdvantage.com, though the services will be merged at a later date. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

GovernmentBids.com, also of Atlanta, allows companies to review government bids and requests for proposals from more than 2,000 local and state government sites daily. Opportunities are listed in 45 categories, such as construction, medical and telecommunications.

"InsiderAdvantage.com already provides proprietary information about opportunities to do business with government before they are public knowledge," said Matt Towery, chairman and chief executive officer. "GovernmentBids.com will round out that information with a comprehensive list of active government bids, all easily accessible in one location."

InsiderAdvantage.com has published previously undisclosed information about state and local government bond issues, sewers, roads and school construction projects totaling more than $7 billion, the company said. In addition, the company has revealed more than $3.5 billion in previously undisclosed requests for proposals in areas such as telecommunications, construction, insurance, privatization, waste disposal and health care.

This is the fourth acquisition for InsiderAdvantage.com, which was formed April 3.
