Spatial data company brings in new public sector chief
Spatial data company Matterport hires a new vice president of public sector to further drive adoption of digital twin technologies by agencies.
Spatial data company Matterport has hired nearly 25-year federal market veteran Seth Finkel as vice president of public sector to further drive adoption of digital twin technologies by agencies.
Finkel joins Matterport as the company is pursuing opportunities related to the digitization of federal government facilities and other elements of infrastructure.
In a release Wednesday, Matterport said it is also at work on developing a new cloud-enabled service for agencies to manage their infrastructure assets and related data through the use of digital twins that are designed as real-time counterparts of a physical object or process.
Most recently, Finkel was vice president of advanced technology at Amentum and also held senior roles at predecessor companies AECOM and URS. He led efforts to infuse technologies and techniques involving advanced and predictive analytics, sensors and Internet of Things-based smart maintenance, supply chain management, process automation, and transformed training.
He is also a former senior vice president of managed services and general manager of the government sector at Carpathia.
