SAIC taps former exec as new CISO

Science Applications International Corp. has welcomed an alumnus back to the company by hiring Kevin Brown as SAIC’s chief information security officer.
Science Applications International Corp. has welcomed an alumnus back to the company by hiring Kevin Brown as SAIC’s chief information security officer.
He’ll lead the company’s cybersecurity strategy and oversee areas such as incident response, disaster recovery, awareness, business resilience, monitoring, remediation, threat intelligence and information governance.
Most recently, he was a vice president and CISO at Boston Scientific, which makes medical devices.
He also was a vice president of Raytheon’s information security business.
Earlier in his career, he had a 17-year run at the pre-split SAIC, leaving in July 2011 to join Raytheon.
Brown also is a Navy veteran. He has a master’s degree in management information systems from George Washington University and a bachelor of science degree in history from the U.S. Naval Academy.
