Parsons promotes new federal infrastructure lead

Parsons Corp. promotes one of its own executives to lead the engineered systems business unit, which falls within the company’s federal segment.

Parsons Corp. has promoted Jon Moretta to president of the engineered systems business unit, which falls within the company’s federal segment and focuses on infrastructure solutions around the world.

Moretta’s elevation is effective immediately and he succeeds the retiring Chris Alexander, whom Parsons said Monday told the company earlier this month of his plan to retire.

Some of the federal clients within the engineered systems unit include the Energy and Homeland Security departments, plus the Federal Aviation Administration.

Prior to this appointment, Moretta worked as industrial market leader and oversaw projects involving mine closure and reclamation along with environmental remediation.
