ManTech names new defense lead

ManTech International brings in a three-decade federal market veteran and former Vectrus executive to lead the defense business.

ManTech has hired nearly three-decade federal market veteran and former Vectrus executive David Hathaway as an executive vice president and general manager.

Hathaway will lead ManTech’s defense sector and report to Chief Operating Officer Matt Tait, the company said Tuesday.

Andrew Twomey, who has led ManTech’s Defense Sector since January 2015, will take on a new strategic role within ManTech.

Most recently, Hathaway was senior vice president of programs at Vectrus in support of that company’s defense and intelligence clients. He also spent 25 years at IBM’s public sector arm, where he led the development and delivery of technology solutions for defense and intelligence agencies.

He is also a former active duty Air Force communications and computer systems officer.
