Yext, a maker of enterprise search tools, has launched a new public sector team and hired nearly two-decade market veteran Laurie “LC” Cook as vice president in charge of it.
Cook will be responsible for building up that arm of Yext’s sales organization to better support agencies at all levels of government in the U.S., Yext said Monday.
The company touts the State Department and World Health Organization as users of the search tool that incorporates artificial intelligence functions into an answering platform, which is intended to understand natural language.
Most recently, Cook was vice president of public sector at robotic process automation software maker Blue Prism. Her career also includes roles at SAS Institute and LexisNexis.
