Forcepoint appoints new product chief
Forcepoint brings in a two-decade cybersecurity industry veteran and former Symantec executive to the role of chief product officer.
Forcepoint has hired two-decade cybersecurity industry veteran and former Symantec executive Rees Johnson as chief product officer.
Johnson will lead efforts to accelerate Forcepoint’s delivery of its secure access service edge products designed to help government agencies and other enterprise organizations protect data everywhere, the company said Monday.
His responsibilities also include the entire product portfolio, product development, innovation and strategic integration.
Most recently at Symantec, Johnson was senior vice president of product management for that company’s enterprise division. He also has held senior leadership roles at Intel Security (formerly McAfee), including SVP of the McAfee Labs organization and SVP of its content and software-as-a-service security business.
Johnson’s career includes service on the leadership team of three large acquisitions that reshaped the cybersecurity market: McAfee by Intel, Bluecoat by Symantec and most recently Symantec by Broadcom.
