Deloitte adds new cyber exec to government practice
Deloitte hires a former head of Air Force Cyber Command to help lead the professional services firm's offerings in that domain for government agencies.
Deloitte has hired retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Chris Weggeman to the leadership team of the professional services firm’s government and public services practice.
Weggeman will oversee what Deloitte calls “mission-critical operations” within the practice’s cyber and strategic risk portfolio, the firm said Thursday.
Most recently, the nearly three-decade military and cyber veteran was deputy commander of Air Combat Command and prior to that led the Air Force’s Cyber Command.
His career also includes leadership over the cyber mission forces at U.S. Cyber Command and work with the office of the defense secretary, Defense Department and members of Congress to help define overall cyber strategy, policy, infrastructure, technology and training requirements to support the military’s cyber capabilities.
