SAIC adds 2 new human capital execs & corporate controller

Science Applications International Corp. has hired two new senior vice presidents to support the government technology company’s broader human capital function.

Heather Wilson was named senior VP of human resources and Peter Kidd is now SVP of total rewards. Both will report to SAIC Chief Human Resources Officer Michelle O’Hara, the company said Thursday.

Wilson will help oversee the alignment of SAIC’s strategy with the employee lifecycle that ranges from recruiting, onboarding career development, training and performance management. She most recently held HR leadership roles at Northrop Grumman.

Kidd’s responsibility is to work with SAIC’s business leaders on the design, implement and administration of compensation and benefits programs. Before Kidd joined SAIC, he managed a total rewards program at Perspecta and led efforts to harmonize that company’s compensation and benefits programs after the three-way merger to create it.

In addition to the HR appointments, SAIC has also hired Ben Wanjara as corporate controller with responsibility over accounting operations, Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, technical accounting and finance shared services.

Wanjara most recently was assistant corporate controller at Leidos and is a two-decade veteran of Big Four accounting firms and companies across multiple industries. He will report to SAIC Chief Financial Officer Prabu Natarajan.
