CNSI appoints IBM and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services veteran Verlon Johnson as senior executive for the growth strategy.

CNSI has hired former IBM executive and veteran Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services official Verlon Johnson as senior vice president of corporate strategy.

Johnson will help lead efforts to further develop and implement CNSI’s growth strategy for public sector and commercial health care markets, the company said Monday.

Most recently, she was vice president of health care policy and program management for the government health and human services group at IBM’s Watson Health business.

Her career at CMS culminated with service as associate consortium administrator and deputy to the consortium administrator for operations involving Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
