Biometrics tech firm adds former SAIC, Unisys exec
Global biometrics technology outfit IDEMIA brings aboard a former SAIC and Unisys Federal executive to oversee government growth.
IDEMIA, the multinational biometrics technology company, has hired nearly two-decade government market veteran Andrew Boyd as president and CEO for the national security solutions business.
Boyd will oversee a Reston, Virginia-based segment of IDEMIA that focuses on delivering technologies and other offerings to customers in the defense, national security and classified mission arenas. IDEMIA cited Boyd’s private sector experience and Air Force career in its announcement Tuesday.
Most recently, Boyd was senior vice president for defense and intelligence at Science Applications International Corp. and joined that company upon its acquisition of the former Unisys Federal business earlier this year.
At Unisys Federal, Boyd was group vice president for defense and intelligence. His career in business also includes leadership roles at the former Engility Corp., Northrop Grumman and other small businesses.
