American Systems promotes new VP

American Systems has promoted nearly two-decade company veteran Sheri Murphy to a nearly-created vice president position at the government services contractor.

Murphy will serve as VP of quality assurance and continuous improvement, a role that focuses on initiatives related to program management and corporate business standards. She will also oversee and execute the company’s integrated management system offering, American Systems said Monday.

She joined the company in 1996 and has held several IT-related positions of increasing responsibility including change management, risk management, and policy compliance.
