Protests pile up against $950M Special Ops contract awards

Eight companies have filed protests after their bids fell short in the competition for a $950 million professional services contract with the Special Operations Command.
Eight companies have filed protests after their bids fell short in the competition for a $950 million professional services contract awarded earlier this month to support the Special Operations Command.
The 10-year multiple-award contract went to 46 small businesses that will compete for task orders in areas such as education, training, engineering, program manage management and other support. The contract is known as the Core Services Support contract.
Protesters so far include:
- Arrow Security & Training
- ATSG Corp.
- CenCore LLC
- Delan Associates
- eTranservices Corp.
- Patriot Defense Group
- People, Technology and Processes LLC
- Totalis Consulting Group
The protests were filed between May 9 and May 18. Decisions from the Government Accountability Office are due in mid-to-late August. If the protests have similar enough complaints, GAO will likely bundle the protests into a single decision.
Some of the task areas under this contract include data collection, intelligence support, graphic arts, physical security and operational planning support.
