ManTech stands up FEDSIM center, hires new execs
ManTech International has created a new center of excellence and brought in new two executives to steer pursuits of large opportunities coming out of the GSA FEDSIM acquisition hub.
ManTech International has stood up an organization focused just on opportunities coming out of the General Services Administration's FEDSIM acquisition organization and has hired industry experts on those contracts.
In a sign of how critical a strong GSA practice is, ManTech has created a FEDSIM Center of Excellence that will focus on strategy and best practices as the company pursues opportunities run by GSA's Federal Systems Integration and Management Center.
“FEDSIM acquisitions are driving significant business growth, as evidenced by ManTech’s recent $920 million contract with Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane,” said ManTech Chief Growth Officer Yvonne Vervaet. “The increase in billion-dollar FEDSIM awards necessitates investing in our new Center of Excellence and the industry-leading talent to run it.”
That talent includes two new hires.
Chip Taylor was named vice president of ManTech’s Government-Wide Procurement Advisory Center. He’ll be responsible for business development at the company's FEDSIM Center of Excellence. He’ll also lead competitive intelligence and knowledge management functions. He has worked at Perspecta, Vencore, Engility, Harris and EDS during a 30-year career.
Steve Lipson was named executive director of the FEDSIM Center of Excellence. His background includes time at Leidos, Perspecta, General Dynamics IT and CGI. He consulted on the oral presentations for ManTech’s $920 million Naval Surface Warfare Center-Crane win.
