CACI loses protest over $300M intell support contract

CACI International has lost is protest of a $300 million intelligence support contract that went to a competitor.
CACI International has lost its protest of a $300 million intelligence support contract that went to The Buffalo Group.
CACI has protested the contract twice. Protest number one came in October, when The Buffalo Group first won the Defense Intelligence Agency contract to support Central Command’s intelligence directorate. Metis Solutions also filed a protest.
The contract is a wide-ranging vehicle supporting all-source intelligence analysis, indications and warnings, foreign disclosure, application and dissemination, intelligence operations, knowledge management and human intelligence.
The protests were dismissed after the DIA took a corrective action to take a second look at the procurement. After that second look, The Buffalo Group won the contract for a second time and CACI filed a new protest.
CACI argued that the evaluation wasn’t conducted properly.
The contract is for nearly five years with a nine-month base and four one-year options.
GAO has not released its decision, so details of what CACI argued and how DIA countered aren’t available yet.
