Science Applications International Corp. has promoted two people to lead parts of its defense businesses.

Gabe Camarillo will lead SAIC’s Naval Sea and Air Systems Operations as a senior vice president and operations manager. Josh Jackson will lead the Navy and Marine Corps Information Warfare Operation, also as a senior vice president and operations manager.

The promotions took effect immediately, SAIC said Wednesday. Both Camarillo and Jackson will report to Jim Scanlon, executive vice president and general manager of the defense systems group.

Camarillo joined SAIC in 2017 and most recently served as vice president of strategy for the defense systems group. Prior to SAIC, he served over seven years in leadership roles in national security at the Defense Department, including a stint as assistant Air Force secretary for manpower and reserve affairs.

He replaces Rick Sabol, who will retire after a 37-year career in Navy defense contracting that included 10 years with SAIC.

Jackson joined SAIC in 2002 and has primarily worked with defense and national security customers. He more recently led the solutions and technology group and was heavily involved in the integration of Unisys Federal into SAIC.
