CenturyLink raises objections to three EIS task order awards

CenturyLink is challenging three task orders awarded under the General Services Administration’s huge Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions vehicle for next-generation telecommunications services.

All three came out of the Commerce Department. The first order at $243.8 million went to Verizon and AT&T won the other two: one worth $59.9 million and the second valued at $14.8 million.

CenturyLink is arguing that if the evaluations had been done correctly, than they would have won instead of the other two companies.

The Verizon task order coves telecommunications, networking and related support for Commerce.

The $59.9 million AT&T task order covers managed trusted internet protocol service. The second AT&T award is for diverse carrier virtual private network service.

CenturyLink filed its protest on April 8. A decision is expected by July 17.
