Small biz wins big cyber contract

FreeAlliance.com has won a $79.6 million contract to support the management of SIPRNET and NIPRENET for the Marine Corps.
A Northern Virginia small business has captured a $79.6 million contract to provide cybersecurity services to the Marine Corps.
Under the Advanced Cyber Support Services contract, FreeAlliance LLC will support the Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Center.
This center supports the IT Government Enterprise Network which includes both the unclassified Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) and classified Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), which have about 200,000 users combined. There also are 76,000 devices on the networks.
Some of the services that FreeAlliance will provide include program management, network operations, help desk and cybersecurity support. There also are a variety of performance metrics the contractor has to meet.
The contract is for five years and was competed as a small business set aside.
According to Deltek, Agile Defense was the incumbent contractor.
