NCI fights for lost $145M Army contract

NCI Information Systems is battling back to keep an incumbent Army contract it has lost to a challenger.

The $145.4 million contract was awarded to DCS Corp. as a task order under the Army’s Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services vehicle, known as RS3. The order is for systems engineering and technical assistance services for the Army’s Program Executive Office Soldier at Fort Belvoir.

NCI is arguing that the evaluation was not done properly. If it had been, they would have retained the work.

DCS Corp. is an Alexandria, Virginia, based employee-owned company that has been in business for 35 years. In addition to the RS3 contract, DCS also holds prime positions on GSA’s OASIS contract, the Navy’s SeaPort-e, AMCOM Express and AMCOM Express Technical Domain as well as multiple GSA schedules.

The company primarily works with Defense Department customers including all four services as well as intelligence agencies.
