Air Force chooses small firm for nearly $100M cyber assessment contract
The Air Force taps a small business for a nearly $100 million contract to assess the cyber vulnerabilities of connected devices.
Small business Radiance Technologies has won a five-year, $99.9 million contract to provide an integrated set of tools for the Air Force to use in assessments of cyber vulnerabilities.
The Air Force Research Laboratory received one other bid for the contract that covers work through August 2024, the Defense Department said in its Monday awards digest.
AFRL plans to use the tools in automated evaluations of how vulnerable Internet of Things-based devices and other distributed systems are to cyber intrusions.
Radiance will develop the tools to also offer system configurations and countermeasure placements for the vulnerability assessments.
Huntsville, Alabama-based Radiance is also one of five small firms competing for work on a potential five-year, $950 million contract AFRL awarded last year for agile research-and-development services in cyber.
